Education empowers.
It inspires children to dream bigger dreams, dare greater things, and rise above the limitations of their station.
It teaches children the lessons of the past and equips them for a better future. Education is one thing we can give kids that no one can ever take away.
Without an education, children are vulnerable. They are more likely to be impoverished, exploited, dehumanized, and trafficked. But as George Washington Carver wrote, “Education is the golden key that unlocks the door to freedom.” A Christian-based education frees children from the strongholds of Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, and Animism in Asia Pacific. It will transform their communities and nations with hope and the promise of a brighter future.
Scholarships: ALO has promised to fund 454 scholarships for children and teens across nine countries. The average cost of these scholarships is $280 each.

Vanuatu — To bring the Bible alive for children in the Pacific Islands by providing biblical, culturally applicable children’s discipleship materials in all major languages of the Pacific.

Japan — The Tsukuba International Christian Assembly (TICA) Church in Japan hosts kids’ outreach programs all year round. It is connecting with ever-increasing numbers of Japanese families and sharing the gospel with kids through camps, special events, and a weekly preschool.
Breakdown: $15,000 for a rock-climbing wall; $2,000 for furniture; $3,000 for a puppet stage and interactive equipment; $5,000 for indoor play equipment.

Pray for educational opportunities for children and young people across Asia Pacific who currently have little or no chance for an education.
Pray that every young person Asia’s Little Ones helps may know truth and the God of all truth.
Ask God to break the cycles of poverty, vulnerability, and exploitation and raise this generation to new heights of opportunity and transformation.
