Mission:
To provide biblically based curriculum, teacher training, and equipment for schools launched in hard-to-reach villages and remote islands.
Hope Pacific Mission has been hard at work bringing education to villages in Vanuatu that previously had no school. They have launched 11 successful schools and are currently working to open five more. This year, they would like to build a playground for each of the 16 schools. These playgrounds will be exciting additions to the schools and be sources of joy for the children of these communities.
Target for 2024: $20,000
Breakdown: $1,250 per playground for 16 schools
Additional Details: Hope Pacific Mission works in partnership with the community and local church, if there is one. They help build schools and train teachers. Once a school is established, the community takes full responsibility for paying teachers and maintaining the school. These schools are strengthening the villages, as it is generally the world’s illiterate and least educated who have the highest risk of being impoverished and exploited.
Pray:
Pray for the students and teachers of the villages where Hope Pacific Mission has established schools. Pray also for those villages that remain illiterate and without access to education. Pray for those who are hearing the gospel message for the first time through Christian school curriculum to have understanding and open hearts.
