iHope Care

Taiwan

To provide a free after-school program for disadvantaged, low-income, and new immigrant families including education, character development, encouragement, and physical provision.

The goal of iHope in Taiwan is to promote loving your neighbor as yourself. To this end, they provide an after-school program that serves disadvantaged, low-income, and immigrant children. They are devoted to society’s welfare and to the education of children. Funds go toward ministry supplies, snacks, van maintenance, and gas to pick up and drop off kids for one year.

Mission:

Target for 2025: $15,800

Breakdown: 38 children = $7,800 for an iHope after-school program in the Central District

40 children = $8,000 for an iHope after-school program in the Annan District

Additional Details: This project works in partnership with the Taiwan Assembly of God and is volunteer driven. The church has become a safe haven for children like Han, whose mother is in jail for using drugs. Han lives with her elderly grandmother, who has a gambling problem. Before Han came to iHope, she feared the debt collectors would come to the home while she was there alone. Thanks to the iHope family, she has a safe place to face life’s challenges and to grow academically and spiritually.

Love your neighbor as yourself.
