God is starting something BIG in little ones’ hearts

The evening services in Malo, Vanuatu, were meant to challenge and inspire volunteers training for Sunday school children’s ministry. Unlike the afternoon training sessions, there were no puppets, games, or crafts for the children. But many wanted to come anyway.

After a good service and prayer time, Pastor Steve invited anyone who wanted to be baptized the next day to come forward. A couple of trainees stood—and more than a dozen children!

They reaffirmed their faith in Jesus. As the leaders prayed over them, Sunday School in My Language missionary Alecia Webb encouraged them to bask in the presence of the Lord and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Immediately, there was a shift in the atmosphere. “You could see the faith and anticipation of each beautiful child,” Webb recounted. “The boys and girls stood there with their arms raised and tears streaming down their faces, praising God.”

The children stayed and prayed long after the service had been dismissed. But not everyone who left the service went home. A group of fathers stayed up all night talking about it.

What began in the hearts of the children continued in the hearts of the leaders. They had never seen such a move of God on their children. God used someone unexpected—little children—to start something new in Malo. He used something small to unleash something mighty.

Asia’s Little Ones is excited to be part of what the Spirit of God is starting across Asia Pacific. Join us! Do something, and be part of God’s bigger plan.

“A little child will lead them.”
