Finally! 10-Year trial Ends for Pakistani Christian Family

Toronto, Canada • The trial—more than a decade long—of a persecuted Pakistani Christian family is finally over. Their flight to Thailand saved their lives. But their lives have been on hold in Thailand for more than 10 years while waiting to be accepted for permanent residence in another country. In Thailand, noncitizens are not allowed to work or get a public education. Because they can’t work, they don’t have money to pay for an education.

For many years, Asia’s Little Ones has provided scholarships for the family’s two children, Yashap and her brother David—and other refugee children—through Bangkok Refugee Scholarships.

Yashap, a straight-A student, dared to dream that she could become a doctor. Their family dreamed and prayed that, by the time the children graduated from high school, they would have a country to call home. Finally, this family’s long trial of persecution and waiting has ended. The family has found a new home in Canada. Yashap has been accepted to the pre-med program at Toronto University and is starting this fall. David has a job but plans to continue his studies as he can. Thanks to faithful ALO supporters, this family’s dreams are finally coming true.

“The Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials.”
