King’s Garden
Philippines
Mission:
To provide temporary and permanent care for abused, abandoned, and neglected children.
King’s Garden receives orphans and children whose parents have forfeited their parental rights due to imprisonment or other circumstances which make them incapable of caring for their children. Currently, there are 30 children at King’s Garden. Sometimes situations turn around and the children are able to be successfully reunited with a loving relative. For those who can’t be, there is no foster system in the Philippines. King’s Garden provides support and love at the home while social workers search for a home with good adoptive parents.
Target for 2025: $16,800
Breakdown: 30 children x $1,400 per month for basic needs
Additional Details: King’s Garden, founded in 1994 by Lois Prater, was started to bring housing and Jesus to the nearly 1.8 million children living on the streets of the Philippines.
“Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you!”
