To end the cycle of poverty and abuse in girls’ families through evangelism and education by providing a residential aftercare program for girls rescued from sex trafficking, abuse, and exploitation.
Happy Horizons is home to 50–65 girls ages 3–20 who have been rescued from sexual abuse and trafficking. They are not victims anymore! Happy Horizons helps these girls on their journey to healing and restoration This requires lots of love and patience. We want every girl to have access to professional therapy and good counselors on a weekly basis as they work hard to heal. Because of these successful mental health endeavors, many of the girls have had the strength to bring charges and testify against their perpetrators. In spite of the girls’ difficult beginnings, they are growing up with big dreams and bright futures. These brave girls won’t let the suffering of the past hold them back. Please help us to provide them with the kind of restorative support they need.
Breakdown: 63 girls × $10 weekly therapy/counseling session = $600/week × 52 weeks = $32,760
Additional Details: Giving to help these girls rebuild their lives and fight the evil that has victimized them is important. However, we also ask you to join daily in prayer on behalf of those who are still suffering. Child exploitation and human trafficking are increasing every day. The Philippines has become the largest and most profitable illegal market worldwide. Prayer is essential for defeating this evil.
