Esperanza House

Indonesia

Mission:

To enable poor mountain girls to continue their education.

This home in Sulawesi is helping 18 teenage girls achieve their dreams. The girls are from mountain villages that offer no access to education beyond elementary school. At the Esperanza House, they have the opportunity to complete high school and learn vocational skills. Since 2017, several young women have excelled to the point of earning scholarships for Bible college and job internships.

Target for 2024: $3,300

Breakdown: $2,000 to dig a new septic tank and fix plumbing issues; $1,000 for essential roof repairs; $300 to treat for mold and repaint the home.

Additional Details: This home is provided in partnership with the local churches, the Bible school (STAT), and the Christian high school (KARISMA). These local partners and the girls’ families cover the day-to-day costs of running the home, and the girls work hard to grow much of their own food. Their only request is help for repairing the home.

“The Lord remembers us, and will bless us.”
