Mission:
To feed malnourished children and meet the needs of their families.
In Surigao, Philippines, the Children and Adult Learning Mission (CALM) faithfully provides physical and spiritual nutrition four days a week to 120 children; 50 more children are fed two days a week at another outreach location. The newly nourished children are walking testaments to the love of God and the caring ministry of his people. This has opened the doors of awareness and brought requests for prayer in difficult situations. As the leaders have prayed in faith, God has given healing and other miracles. What started out as a chance for a nutritious meal has changed lives and brought transformational hope for some families.
Target for 2024: $12,064
Breakdown: 580 nutritious meals per week, at $0.40 per meal.
Additional Details: The actual budget to feed these children is greater than this. ALO is a partnering contributor along with other local believers, volunteers, and churches. This is a difficult area that has a heavy Muslim influence and has been riddled with poverty for decades.
